Making a List of What You Have

There are a number of places that can provide you with a web site and make it very easy for you to create your pages for free! Pick whatever place you want, but please try to avoid free sites that have annoying pop-up advertising windows whenever you open the page, especially if the pop-up windows go in front of your browser. Currently, GeoCities is a free web-site provider that does not have overly annoying advertising.

Your list should include the following information:

Your name.
What types of format you are can copy and want: DVD, VCD, DivX, VHS, SVHS, etc. Plus
- For DVD's, specify the number of episodes on a disk. DVD's have multiple types of compression, and the number of episodes put on per disk tells someone roughly how compressed the show is.
- For VCD's, list the format of the disk (MPEG-1 or AVI).
Whether or not your shows are subtitled and, if so, what language the subtitles are in (usually, English or Chinese).
How clear your copy is. I use the criteria described here. Use my grades or define your own, but please state somewhere what your grades mean!
Any shows you are looking for in particular.
Any special restrictions on trading, such as only wanting to trade for a particular picture quality, or limiting trading to only a few shows that you're looking for.
An e-mail account for people to contact you.

Please also alphabetize your list; it makes it much easier for people to find a dorama if they're looking for something in particular.

Specify how many episodes are in each show. Usually, doramas are a set length (11-12 episodes), but it's nice to let people see it. Also, you should list episode numbers or lengths for things that are not the standard length (such as morning doramas or mega-movies), and specify if you are missing episodes in a series, especially the end episodes.
Categorize your shows, especially if you have a lot of them. The categories I use are New Trades, Regular Shows, 15-Minute Morning Doramas, TV Mega-Movies and Short Series, Movies, and Anime. The New Trades category is especially helpful for your regular traders to quickly tell what new things you have that they might want. If they have to hunt through your list for new additions, they might miss them and you'll get fewer trades.
Include a link to a description of what each show is about. The links page tells where various databases are that you can use to find descriptions.

In addition, some people list additional information such as where their copy was broadcast from, whether or not it has ads, if it was fansubbed, who they got it from, etc. List whatever additional information you want to keep track of, or that you think other people might want to know.

It is not necessary to list every tape or disk you have on a separate line (vs. every show you have). This style is an artifact from anime trading, and just tends to clutter up your page, making your list hard to read. Your entire dorama series will tend to have exactly the same information (video quality, etc.), so it's not necessary to break out the show tape by tape or disk by disk.

Do not list anything that is licensed and commercially available in your country. This includes any JPop or music, no matter where you live. If your list contains any such items, you will get many fewer trades because a number of traders will not be willing to deal with you (if for no other reason than if you are willing to rip off the copyright owners, you are more willing to rip off people who trade with you). You will also be warned by me to remove the items, and, if you don't or you repeatedly have commercial items listed, your membership in the dorama trading club will be revoked permanently.
